Greetings to all the associates of Malnad Social Service Society. As it is evident and clear, MSSS functions on a partnership model. MSSS encompasses donors, administrative staff, field workers and the stake-holders. There is nothing called giver and taker; all are givers and takers which makes MSSS resilient.
MSSS is a small tree, which is spreading its branches to different areas of Bhadravathi diocese. I firmly believe that it is not how much we do, but how well we do that matters. The unique combination of social values, knowledge, critical thinking and practical application make social work the distinctive profession that it is. I’m glad to state that we have a good set of dedicated staff who are really committed to their responsibility that they shoulder. Though the remuneration is very much limited, I know that our staff lives on the sense of satisfaction and fulfillment that they get from this humanitarian work.
The year was very hectic but meaningful due to the various activities that we undertook. Suraksha program was something that gave new direction on volunteerism. We could get volunteers from Colleges, SHG’s as well as general public. This gave new momentum to other project activities like; child helps line, Women Empowerment Program, Women in Micro Enterprises as well as HIV/AIDS care centre. I remember with gratitude all the benefactors who supported the various activities of MSSS. Let’s work together to build up the society to make this place a better place to live.
