Malnad Social Service Society (MSSS) is the official organization for social concern and development of Syro- Malabar Diocese of Bhadravathi. It is registered under Government of Karnataka Society Registration Act 1960, with the registration number No.219/SOR/SMG/90-91. The operational area of MSSS covers two civil districts of Karnataka state viz Shimoga and Chikamagalur.
MSSS began its social work in a charity mode and gradually shifted to welfare and developmental modes. At present MSSS is focusing on education, health and human development activities including empowerment of rural poor, through the process of sensitization, capacity building, training and exposure with an integrated, need based and right based approaches. MSSS giving importance to sustainable livelihood development of the rural families and caters the needs of the people living with HIV/AIDS.
